Content Management System (CMS)
CMS brings together an agency’s information and empowers agency staff to create, manage, publish, and expire content on their own. Using Microsoft SharePoint Web Content Manager, users can efficiently create and manage website content through a defined workflow allowing for approval and publishing of content. CMS will allow state agencies, counties, and cities to create and maintain a web site without the knowledge of programming languages. INA will provide initial training for CMS to an identified number of users within your organization. For additional information about the INA CMS and training, visit this page.
Common Look and Feel (CLF) Guidelines
INA is charged with providing web site common look and feel guidelines for Arkansas state agencies. These guidelines are based on the design of the Arkansas.gov State Portal and other agency web sites. Arkansas.gov can apply this look by using our CMS solution or you may use the published HTML design templates and accompanying documentation for agency webmasters at www.arkansas.gov/toolkit. For additional information about the CLF guidelines, visit this page.
Custom Website Design
CMS also has the flexibility to make available non-standard web sites when needed. At times, there are government web sites that are used to promote services such as tourism, museums, along with other activities and services. INA has the option to offer custom design where appropriate.
Logo Design
INA has an experienced design staff who will work with your agency to design a logo that represents the essence of what you are looking for in a logo for your agency.
Online Forms
All state agencies have forms that are essential to their operations on a daily basis. Most agencies are not aware of the benefits of placing your forms online which will assist in saving paper, time, and money and will overall increase productivity in the office. We will work with your agency to best determine the solution that will work for you. By putting your forms online you will be reducing the need for a postal mail, carrier services or facsimiles.
County Website Grants
The INA board has appropriated grant funding for a county interested in creating a website presence. Counties will utilize CMS to manage the content of their site with user name and password access. Hosting and training is provided as part of the set up agreement for the agency. Applications are now being accepted and will be reviewed and awarded on a regular basis.
