The CBC system allows authorized entities, such as businesses and government agencies, to perform online background checks quickly. The system integrates with other state agencies like the Arkansas Department of Education and the Arkansas State Board of Nursing, allowing them to streamline their operations. In 2016, ARCH was launched, giving citizens the ability to perform background checks without needing written consent from the subject, which added more flexibility to the system.
